Captain Fantastic (2016)
Ben e la moglie hanno scelto di crescere i loro sei figli lontano dalla città e dalla società, nel cuore di una foresta del Nord America. Sotto la guida costante del padre, i ragazzi, tra i cinque e i diciassette anni, passano le giornate allenandosi fisicamente e intellettualmente: cacciano per procurarsi il cibo, studiano le scienze e le lingue straniere, si confrontano in democratici dibattiti sui capolavori della letteratura e sulle conquiste della Storia. Suonano, cantano, festeggiano il compleanno di Noam Chomsky e rifiutano il Natale e la società dei consumi. La morte della madre, da tempo malata, li costringe a intraprendere un viaggio nel mondo sconosciuto della cosiddetta normalità: viaggio che farà emergere dissidi e sofferenze e obbligherà Ben e mettere in discussione la sua idea educativa.
