Nowhere Boy (2009)
Liverpool, 1955. John Lennon è un quindicenne ribelle, intelligente e assetato di vita. Nella sua famiglia abbondano però i segreti, con due donne in conflitto rispetto al suo futuro: Mimi, la zia severa che lo ha cresciuto da quando aveva cinque anni, incoraggiandolo a studiare e a diventare un bravo ragazzo borghese; e Julia, la mamma piena di brio. Spinto dal desiderio di una famiglia normale, John si rifugia nel nuovo ed eccitante mondo del rock, dove il suo genio immaturo incontra l'anima gemella nell'adolescente Paul McCartney. Proprio mentre John sta per iniziare una nuova vita, sua madre muore tragicamente, ma il giovane Lennon troverà la forza per andare avanti e la sua voce esploderà nel mondo, dando vita al mito.
