L'Ispettore Gadget è alle prese con un problema: deve dire addio alla sua amata Gadgetmobile, compagna di mille avventure, e accettare la nuova vettura in dotazione. Nel frattempo il suo eterno nemico, il dottor Claw, ha messo a punto un piano: trovare un finto superdetective per screditare Gadget e costringerlo a riconsegnare il suo distintivo.
