Una giusta causa (2018)
Una Giusta Causa è la storia vera di Ruth Bader Ginsburg, una delle nove donne che nel 1956 viene accettata al corso di legge dell’Università di Harvard, ma che, nonostante il suo talento, viene rifiutata da tutti gli studi legali proprio perché donna. Sostenuta dall’avvocato progressista Dorothy Kenyon, la donna apre un processo sul proprio controverso caso di discriminazione di genere. Nonostante il nutrito numero di oppositori, Ruth riesce a ottenere la sua vittoria in tribunale, creando con il processo un precedente nella storia legale statunitense. Il film è un tributo a Ruth Bader, seconda donna a essere nominata Giudice della Corte Costituzionale, nonché una delle figure più influenti del nostro tempo. Le lotte di Ruth per ottenere la parità dei sessi sul lavoro sono un invito, più attuale che mai, a ogni donna a non farsi sopraffare da una cultura maschilista in ogni campo.
