Un amore una vita (1988)
Il fuoriclasse del football Gavin Gray (Dennis Quaid) sposa la reginetta di bellezza Babs Rogers (Jessica Lange). Tra un trionfo sportivo e l'altro, nascono quattro figli. Il tempo passa e Babs si emancipa aprendo un bar con l'aiuto di Edward, un gigantesco amico che viene poi ucciso per debiti. Al tramonto, impigrito, Gavin non si avvede di una scappatella di Babs. Lasciato il football, fa l'istruttore di golf mentre lei, sempre innamorata del marito, fa la donna in carriera.
