Quando Rebecca se n’è andata di casa, pensava di aver lasciato dietro di sé le sue paure di bambina. Crescendo, non era mai sicura di cosa fosse reale e cosa non lo fosse quando le luci si spegnevano…e adesso il suo fratellino, Martin, sta vivendo gli stessi inspiegabili e terrificanti eventi che avevano già messo alla prova la sua sanità mentale e minacciato la sua sicurezza.
