Penn Jillette e il muto Teller sono soci in affari: vivono facendo spettacoli di illusionismo truculento. Hanno anche successo al punto da essere invitati in un programma televisivo, durante il quale Penn si lascia andare a una battuta poco felice. Afferma cioè che sentirebbe un vero brivido, solo se qualcuno lo minacciasse di morte. Dimenticando che fra il pubblico televisivo non è improbabile ci possa essere un qualche psicopatico...
