Mala Noche (1987)
Commesso in un drugstore che è punto di ritrovo per alcolizzati e tabagisti, Walt si innamora di Johnny, un immigrato clandestino messicano che non parla inglese ed è arrivato a Portland insieme al suo amico Pepper. A Johnny di Walt non importa nulla, ma sta al gioco per scroccargli qualche birra e qualche pasto, anche Walt del resto accetta di essere maltrattato, forse perché crede che la gente oggi sia troppo lontana dal concetto della morte.
