Jack, professore cinese di archeologia, fa squadra con la bella professoressa indiana Ashmita e la sua assistente Kyra per individuare l'antico tesoro perduto di Magadha. In una grotta di ghiaccio tibetana, i tre trovano i resti dell'esercito reale scomparso insieme al tesoro prima di essere attaccati da Randall, discendente di un leader dell'esercito ribelle. Riusciti a liberarsi, i tre fanno tappa a Dubai, dove un diamante proveniente dalla grotta sta per essere messo all'asta. Dopo una serie di rivelazioni inattese sul loro passato, Jack e la sua squadra si recano in un tempio di montagna in India, portandosi dietro il diamante come chiave per sbloccare il vero tesoro.
