Possible Worlds (2000)
George Barber conduce diverse esistenze parallele in cui incontra ripetutamente Joyce, una donna che assume identità e professioni differenti, dal medico all’agente di borsa. Mentre l’uomo naviga tra questi mondi possibili cercando di instaurare un legame duraturo con lei, nel piano della realtà materiale due detective indagano su un macabro crimine: il furto del cervello di George. La narrazione intreccia il mistero poliziesco con le esplorazioni oniriche e matematiche del protagonista, sospeso tra molteplici possibilità dell’essere.
