La casa delle ombre lunghe (1983)
Dopo aver scommesso con il suo editore che riuscirà a scrivere un romanzo in un giorno, Kenneth Magee si reca in un maniero solitario messogli a disposizione. In seguito giungono nella casa i componenti della famiglia Grisbane, che hanno deciso di liberare un parente rinchiuso nel maniero come punizione per un delitto commesso quarant'anni prima. Non appena scoprono che il prigioniero è scomparso, si verificano strani omicidi.
