Dopo che sono costretti a lasciare la loro tana, Kate, Humphrey e i loro tre cuccioli si imbattono in Amy, un'amichevole rapace preistorica che ha ripreso vita magicamente dopo essere stata riportata in luce nel corso di un grande scavo. I cuccioli e i loro amici della foresta mostrano ad Amy le meraviglie del loro mondo e saranno costretti a lavorare insieme per cercare di fermare gli scavi prima che scoprano anche i pericolosi T-Rex.
