A Beautiful Day - You Were Never Really Here (2017)
Joe è un veterano di guerra che ha assistito a ogni tipo di brutalità e tortura. Un'esistenza non facile, continuamente tormentata da terribili flashback del suo passato violento. Joe si guadagna da vivere liberando giovani ragazze dalla schiavitù sessuale a cui erano state costrette. Un giorno, un famoso politico di New York lo contatta per chiedergli aiuto. Sua figlia Nina, ancora giovanissima, sembra essere stata rapita da una delle organizzazioni criminali che gestiscono il giro di prostituzione minorile. Quando riuscirà a liberare Nina, però, si renderà conto che non si trattava di un semplice rapimento in cambio di denaro: Joe si trova così invischiato suo malgrado in una spirale molto più grande di lui, fatta di violenza senza scrupoli, e si rende conto di aver bisogno di aiuto per uscire da questa cospirazione: viaggio verso la morte o definitivo ritorno alla vita?
