Senza destino (2005)
Racconto doloroso e dettagliato dell'esistenza in un campo di concentramento attraverso lo sguardo di Gyuri, un giovane ebreo ungherese. Dopo la deportazione del padre in quelli che sono creduti semplicemente campi di lavoro, anche Gyuri viene rastrellato sull'autobus che lo sta portando a scuola. Dopo un periodo passato ad Auschwitz, viene poi spostato a Buchenwald, dove viene perseguitato da un kapo' ungherese e dove inizia la sua routine di fatica, dolore, sottomissione e degrado: perde i lunghi riccioli neri, dimagrisce progressivamente, spala sassi, trasporta sacchi pesantissimi, si lava di rado, contrae la scabbia, gli va in cancrena un ginocchio, e' costretto a dormire vicino ai moribondi e a passare intere giornate in piedi, al freddo o sotto la pioggia.
