Monica Rivers è la proprietaria e le direttrice di un circo e non si fermerebbe di fronte a nulla pur di attrarre più pubblico. Quando una misteriosa serie di omicidi colpisce i suoi artisti, che muoiono di morti violente e spettacolari, i suoi profitti iniziano a crescere vertiginosamente. A un certo punto però si aggiunge alla lista dei performer Frank Hawkins, trapezista piacente e muscoloso, e i due iniziano una relazione scatenando la gelosia di Durando, ex amante di Monica. Quando anche quest'ultimo muore, i sospetti cadono subito su Monica...
