Il Grinta (2010)
Mattie Ross è una quattordicenne fermamente intenzionata a portare dinanzi al giudice, perché venga condannato alla pena capitale, Tom Chaney l'uomo che ha brutalmente assassinato suo padre. Per far ciò ingaggia lo sceriffo Rooster Cogburn non più giovane e alcolizzato ma ritenuto da tutti un uomo duro. Cogburn non vuole la ragazzina tra i piedi ma lei gli si impone. Così come, in un certo qual modo, gli verrà imposta la presenza del ranger texano LaBoeuf. I tre si mettono sulle tracce di Chaney che, nel frattempo, si è unito a una pericolosa banda.
