Di scorta a un convoglio nel Pacifico, un incrociatore inglese incoccia in un confratello tedesco e viene colato a picco. Uno dei superstiti darà filo da torcere al nemico. Da un romanzo di C.S. Forester. Corretto film che si può dividere in 3 parti: appiccicosa la prima, corretta la seconda, eccellente la terza che si basa sulla trovata del duello inconsueto di un fucile contro un incrociatore.
