La donna che canta (2010)
Quando il notaio Lebel, legge a Jeanne e Simon Marwan il testamento della loro madre Nawal, i gemelli restano scioccati nel vedersi porgere due buste, una destinata ad un padre che credevano morto e l'altra ad un fratello di cui ignoravano l'esistenza. Jeanne vede in questo lascito enigmatico, la chiave del silenzio di Nawal, chiusa in un mutismo inesplicabile durante le ultime settimane precedenti la sua morte. Decide di partire subito per il Medio Oriente per riesumare il passato di questa famiglia di cui non sa quasi nulla. Simon, per quanto lo riguarda, non ha bisogno dei capricci postumi di quella madre che è sempre stata lontana e avara di affetto, ma il suo amore per la sorella lo spingerà presto a unirsi a Jeanne per setacciare insieme la terra dei loro antenati sulle tracce di una Nawal ben lontana dalla madre che conoscevano...
