Tre desideri (1995)
Anni '50. Jane a bordo della sua automobile insieme ai suoi figli, Tom e Gunny, investe accidentalmente e rompe una gamba a Jack che vagabonda per l'America. Dispiaciuta dell'accaduto Jane invita Jack e il suo cane a trascorrere a casa sua la convalescenza. L'investito fa fatica ad adattarsi alla nuovo stile di vita. Nonostante le difficoltà riesce a farsi voler bene. Jack si lega in modo particolare a Tom, che ha perso il padre nel corso della guerra di Corea, e gli insegna a giocare a baseball. Nel frattempo Gunny sospetta che Jack e il cane nascondano un segreto e deciso a scoprirlo comincia ad indagare.
