Monsoon Wedding - Matrimonio indiano (2001)
I monsoni stanno per arrivare ma a Nuova Dehli stanno per giungere, dall'Australia come da Silicon Valley, i parenti della coppia che sta per sposarsi. Il film focalizza sulle vicende di 5 personaggi con i rimpianti, i problemi del presente e anche qualcosa di pesante da nascondere come, per uno di essi, un passato da molestatore di minori. Il tutto in attesa delle nozze e della pioggia purificatrice dei monsoni. Il film rappresenta una svolta decisa per Mira Nair.
