Il segreto di Green Knowe (2009)
Nel 1944, dopo che il marito è stato dichiarato disperso in battaglia, Joan decide di inviare il figlio Tolly al sicuro in casa della nonna paterna Linnet, che vive in campagna lontano da Manchester. Qualche giorno dopo il suo arrivo, Tolly si rende conto che in casa della nonna vivono alcuni fantasmi con cui questa va molto d'accordo, essendo gli spiriti dei suoi antenati. Non temendo la loro presenza, Tolly comincia a familiarizzare con i racconti del prode capitano Oldknow, di sua moglie Maria e dei figli Susan e Sefton, viaggiando fino al 1805 e prendendo consapevolezza degli scandali, dei segreti e dei misteri, che hanno accompagnato i suoi avi.
