Dietro la modernità delle luci accecanti e dello skyline di recente costruzione di East London, si cela una pericolosa rete di corruzione. Sebbene Stratford sia stata la sede dei giochi olimpici del 2012, sono poche le speranze di Liam, un ex pugile tornato in libertà dopo una condanna per rapina a mano armata, di avere una vita pacifica e riconnettersi con il figlio Archie.
