I tumbleweeds sono cespugli che ruotano sollevati dal vento. Qui a ruotare è una donna che ogni volta, alla fine di una storia d'amore, cambia città, mobili, vestiti. Quando finalmente sceglie la stabilità, si innamora di un collega che sogna di vivere on the road. La McTeer ha meritato la nomination all'Oscar in un film non rigoroso, ma sicuramente interessante anche per il grande pubblico.
