Per sfuggire a un violento temporale un ragazzo entra in un vecchio cinema mentre è in corso l'ultimo spettacolo. La sala - dove viene proiettato _Dragon Inn_, il kolossal taiwanese di cappa e spada del 1966 - sembra deserta, ma nel buio il giovane si imbatte instrane presenze, fantasmi che hanno i volti dei personaggi del film.
