A che prezzo Hollywood? (1932)
Mary è una cameriera con ambizioni cinematografiche. Il suo sogno si avvera quando incontra Max, un giovane cineasta di talento, che fa di lei una vera star. Ma quanto più Mary diventa famosa, tanto più declina la carriera del suo pigmaglione, a causa del vizio dell'alcol. Lei gli resterà sempre riconoscente anche quando Max cadrà in completa disgrazia.
