Bel colpo amico (1987)
L'undicenne Obie è un bravo ragazzo, con un ottimo rapporto con il padre. Il giorno in cui questi muore, lasciando in lacrime lui, la mamma e la sorella, per Obie è un vero colpo: una mattina fugge da scuola in bicicletta; si perde per le strade e le superstrade di Chicago viene aggredito in un vicolo da due teppistelli e ci rimette non solo la bicicletta, ma il magnifico orologio unico oggetto-ricordo di papà. Obie è deciso a ritrovarlo e nella non facile impresa lo aiuta Truffa, un negretto appena più grande di lui, ma già avvezzo alla città e alla sua fauna. Truffa ha perduto da tre mesi la madre e del proprio padre ( i genitori si erano lasciati) sa solo che vive in un altro Stato e neppure il domicilio.
