The Photograph: Gli scatti di mia madre (2020)
Due storie d'amore - una proveniente dal passato, una ambientata nel presente - si intrecciano attorno alla figura della protagonista, Mae, al centro di entrambe le storie in quanto figlia della coppia di amanti che vivono la prima e coinvolta in prima persona nella seconda, insieme con il fotografo Michael, che entra nella sua vita portando grande sconvolgimento. Mae, infatti, è molto attratta da lui e se ne innamora ben presto ma è tormentata dal dubbio: abbandonarsi a questo nuovo sentimento o tagliare subito la nascente relazione in modo da proteggere sé stessa e non rischiare nulla? In tutto ciò, poi, cosa avrebbe fatto sua madre al posto suo e cos'ha effettivamente fatto a suo tempo, quando si è innamorata a sua volta?
