Nel 2003, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, uno degli uomini più ricchi della Russia, cominciò a scontare una pena di dieci anni per evasione fiscale. Molti pensavano che la sua caduta avrebbe messo in pericolo il presidente appena eletto, Vladimir Putin. Mentre si trovava in una prigione in Siberia, Khodorkovsky è diventato un dissidente famosissimo. Oggi, in esilio a Londra, continua a lottare contro Putin, al potere da diciannove anni.
