Trainspotting (1996)
Edimburgo. Mark Renton, ladruncolo per necessità, ha scelto un'onesta e sincera tossicodipendenza. Begbie, uno psicopatico violento e alcolizzato spaventa perfino i suoi amici, ma non si sognerebbe nemmeno di toccare la droga. Spud, un disperato, ma amabile eroinomane. Sick Boy, un narciso dalle conoscenze enciclopediche su Sean Connery, in grado di tenere sotto controllo la propria dipendenza dall'eroina. Poi c'è Tommy che non si droga, è un maniaco delle escursioni all'aria aperta e di Iggy Pop. Ai margini della storia, ci sono le ragazze del gruppo.
