An American Pickle (2020)
Il film è l'adattamento cinematografico di Simon Rich del suo racconto "Sell Out", uscito sul New Yorker nel 2013. Seth Rogen interpreta Herschel Greenbaum, un operaio in difficoltà che emigra in America nel 1919, sognando di costruire una vita migliore per la sua famiglia. Un giorno, mentre è al lavoro, cade in una cisterna di sottaceti e rimane in salamoia per 100 anni. La salamoia lo conserva perfettamente e, quando Herschel si ritrova nella Brooklyn odierna, scopre di non essere invecchiato di un giorno. Ma quando si mette alla ricerca della sua famiglia, scopre che l'unico suo parente sopravvissuto è il suo bisnipote Ben Greenbaum (anch'esso interpretato da Rogen), un pacato programmatore, che Herschel non riesce proprio a comprendere.
