Il signor alibi (1947)
Un bandito scopre un poveraccio che è la sua copia conforme e decide di servirsene per i suoi scopi (per fabbricarsi cioè un comodo alibi quando mette in esecuzione i colpi più importanti). Ma l'idea si presenta meno felice del previsto: non solo il sosia fa innamorare di sé l'amante del gangster, ma si mette in urto con i membri della banda, uno dei quali, credendo di avere a che fare con il "doppio", uccide il vero capo.
