First Light (2010)
Nel maggio 1940 il diciottenne Geoffrey Wellum si unisce allo squadrone 92 della Royal Air Force e viene portato al pub, dove i piloti che hanno visto l'azione segnano i loro nomi su una lavagna. Il giorno dopo, senza alcuna esperienza di volo, pilota uno Spitfire, lui è nervoso, ma euforico. Presto se la vedrà contro la Luftwaffe, il suo senso di paura dovere dissipare, e, dopo aver preso parte alla battaglia d'Inghilterra, gli viene assegnata una medaglia, anche se non ha mai messo la firma sulla lavagna. Nel 1941 ha volato per 50 missioni e si sente invincibile, anche se vede morire amici ma nel 1942 lo stress lo porta ad avere un guasto. Tuttavia, egli sopravvive alla guerra e, nel presente, parla direttamente alla telecamera, esprimere i suoi sentimenti circa le sue esperienze di servizio.
