La Maschera del Terrore (1983)
Samantha Sherwood (Samantha Eggar) è un’attrice appassionata al suo lavoro, tanto che si finge folle per essere ammessa in un manicomio e studiare il comportamento dei pazzi per il ruolo nel prossimo film del famoso regista Jonathan Stryker (John Vernon) con cui ha spesso collaborato. In realtà, si tratta di una specie di trappola organizzata da Stryker che, mentre lei è in manicomio, organizza un’audizione per la parte con altre attrici, in una vecchia casa isolata.
