UN BUON TRIP: AVVENTURE PSICHEDELICHE si concentra sulle bizzarre storie di allucinazioni di attori, comici e musicisti famosi ricostruite con la collaborazione di star d'eccellenza e attraverso animazioni surreali. Questo documentario mescola la comicità con un'esplorazione approfondita delle sostanze stupefacenti ed esplora i pro, i contro, la storia, il futuro, la scienza, l'impatto sulla cultura pop e le possibilità metafisiche degli allucinogeni. Vengono inoltre affrontati alcuni quesiti importanti: queste sostanze possono aiutare nella cura delle malattie psichiatriche e nell'affrontare il nostro stato di esseri mortali? Siamo tutti fatti dalla stessa materia? È l'amore tutto ciò di cui abbiamo veramente bisogno? Gli alberi possono parlare?
