Manila - Negli artigli della luce (1975)
L'arrivo a Manila alla ricerca dell'amata Ligaya, con la quale ha una relazione fortemente ostacolata da una vecchia signora, segna l'inizio della discesa verso gli inferi dell'alienazione sociale per Julio, un giovane pescatore appartenente a un mondo povero e primitivo. La vita dura in un cantiere edile, episodi che predicono tragicamente il suo desiderio di uccidere e un'incursione nei circoli della prostituzione segnano il viaggio di Julio, che da ragazzo mite e di buon cuore si trasformerà in uomo amareggiato e vendicativo.
