Un orso di nome Winnie (2004)

Poco prima di imbarcarsi per l'Europa e prendere parte alla Prima Guerra Mondiale il tenente dell'esercito canadese Harry Coleburn salva da morte certa un cucciolo d'orso e decide di tenerlo con sé. Non ha però fatto i conti col colonnello Barret non troppo felice d'avere Winnie, questo il nome del cucciolo, nel suo reggimento. Obbediente agli ordini, Colburne cerca di abbandonare a più riprese Winnie ma l'animale, ormai affezionatosi al padrone, trova sempre il modo di ritornare da lui. L'ufficiale decide allora di portarlo con sé in Europa dove lo affida allo zoo di Londra. Al termine del conflitto i due si ritrovano ed è solo grazie all'affetto dell'orso che Colburne riesce a ritrovare la voglia di vivere che la guerra gli ha tolto.
