Adam (1983)
Il film è basato sulla tragica e vera storia di Adam Walsh, un bambino di sei anni scomparso nel 1981 in Florida. Vengono presentati i coniugi John e Revé Walsh, una coppia normale la cui vita viene distrutta dal rapimento del loro figlio in un centro commerciale. La narrazione segue la disperata e straziante ricerca del bambino da parte dei genitori e delle forze dell’ordine, delineando l’angoscia, l’incertezza e la successiva, sconvolgente scoperta del destino di Adam, che scosse profondamente l’opinione pubblica americana. - La pellicola non solo portò il caso Walsh all’attenzione nazionale, ma contribuì in modo decisivo alla nascita di leggi federali per la protezione dei bambini e all’istituzione del National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, segnando un momento cruciale nella storia della sensibilizzazione pubblica sul problema dei bambini scomparsi.
