Un alieno simile a Ra appare dallo Stargate, uccidendo cinque soldati e rapendone un altro, un anno dopo la missione originale di Stargate. Viene assemblata una nuova squadra, inclusi alcuni vecchi membri, e vanno alla ricerca del soldato scomparso per scoprire come Ra potrebbe essere ancora vivo. Nel frattempo, l'alieno Goa'uld rapisce Sha're e Skaara, impiantandoli con simbionti e rendendoli ospiti Goa'uld.
