Qualcosa di straordinario (2012)
Alaska, 1989. In uno dei luoghi più freddi della punta Nord degli Stati Uniti, un reporter televisivo scopre casualmente tre balene rimaste intrappolate sotto una lastra di ghiaccio durante una migrazione. La lastra è troppo lunga per essere percorsa sott'acqua ed ha un solo buco dal quale i cetacei possono emergere a prendere fiato. Il servizio realizzato per un canale televisivo locale si rivela un successo tale da attirare sul luogo tutti i canali televisivi nazionali, imprenditori spietati diventati amici dell'ambiente per l'occasione e addirittura una rompighiaccio sovietica, grazie all'intervento del presidente Reagan. Tutto per cavalcare l'interesse di una nazione intenerita di fronte alla sorte di tre balene.
