Carly gestisce un'attività che crea abiti da sposa per matrimoni di lusso. Si ritrova a trascorrere un fine settimana in un resort dove alcune conoscenza dei tempi del college si sono riunite per un matrimonio. Tra loro c'è anche Matt, il ragazzo per cui aveva una cotta non ricambiata. Mentre tenta di riprovarci con lui, Carly è colpita dalle preparazioni dello chef Nick, un giovane il cui talento non viene riconosciuto dal suo capo, e si offre di metterlo in contatto con la sua clientela. In cambio, Nick dovrà aiutarla a catturare le attenzioni di Nick. Non passerà però molto prima che Carly e Nick si rendano conto di come Matt non sia l'altra metà della mela della donna.
