Dove l'erba si tinge di sangue (1986)
La storia è incentrata sugli sforzi di un impavido poliziotto di New York per liberare una di queste comunità dalla tirannia dei coltivatori di erba. Inizia con un geometra che guida il disonesto sceriffo della città in un piccolo campo di marijuana che ha appena scoperto. Il geometra viene ucciso prima che possa arrivare lì. Joshua, un ragazzino, assiste all'esecuzione e cerca di tornare indietro in tempo per dirlo ai suoi genitori. Sfortunatamente, gli assassini uccidono la sua famiglia e lo gettano da un dirupo. La zia del ragazzo, preoccupata di non avere notizie dalla sua famiglia, si insospettisce e chiede ad una vecchia fiamma, il poliziotto di New York Joe Dillon, di indagare. Lo sceriffo della città non è contento della sua intrusione e lo avverte di starne fuori. Dillon disobbedisce, ed è qui che entra in gioco tutta l'azione.
