Empire of Light (2022)
Una storia d'amore ambientata nell'Inghilterra degli anni Ottanta e che ruota attorno a un vecchio e meraviglioso cinema, sito sulla costa meridionale inglese. Racconta come Hilary (Olivia Colman), una donna che gestisce il cinema e deve fare i conti con la sua salute mentale, e Stephen (Michael Ward), un nuovo dipendente che sogna di fuggire da questa cittadina provinciale in cui deve affrontare avversità quotidiane. Sia Hilary che Stephen trovano un senso di appartenenza attraverso la loro dolce e improbabile relazione e sperimentano il potere curativo della musica, del cinema e della comunità.
