Chasing Mavericks - Sulla cresta dell'onda (2012)
"Chasing Mavericks" è ispirato alla vera storia del fenomeno del surf Jay Moriarity (interpretato dall'esordiente Jonny Weston). Quando a 15 anni Jay scopre che Mavericks, il leggendario paradiso dei surfisti con le più grandi onde sulla Terra, non solo è reale, ma si trova a poche miglia dalla sua casa di Santa Cruz, chiede l'aiuto di Frosty Hesson (interpretato da Gerard Butler), una leggenda locale per addestrarlo a sopravvivere. Quando Jay e Frosty s'imbarcano nel loro tentativo di realizzare l'impossibile, stringono una singolare amicizia che trasforma le loro vite, così che il loro tentativo di domare Mavericks diventa molto più che surf.
