Cortina di spie (1956)
L'auto di John Emmett, mentre sta percorrendo la strada che dal Texas conduce a Los Angeles, subisce un guasto. Nel frattempo sopraggiunge Ann Nicholson che offre all'uomo un passaggio a condizione che l'aiuti a guidare la macchina, senza fermarsi, fino alla megalopoli della California. Mentre stanno ripartendo vengono raggiunti dal dottor Simmons, medico curante di Ann, che dice a John che la sua compagna di viaggio ha problemi di carattere nervoso. Ma il dottore non è il solo che sta cercando Ann, c'è anche la polizia che l'accusa di omicidio...
