La principessa ranocchia (1954)
La giovane e bellissima principessa Vasilisa vive felice nel suo bosco incantato. Un giorno la principessa cattura l'attenzione del malvagio stregone Koščej l'Immortale, che vuole sposarla. Così il perfido stregone la rapisce portandola nel suo castello dove non c'è vita. Vasilisa ride della proposta di matrimonio di Koščej, e ciò lo spinge a maledirla e attraverso il riflesso dello specchio magico di Koščej l'Immortale viene trasformata in una rana per tre anni e tre giorni. Qualche tempo dopo, un vecchio re impone ai suoi tre figli di sposarsi e vuole mettere alla prova le loro spose. Il re dice quindi ai figli di lanciare ognuno una freccia e troveranno le loro spose nel luogo dove atterrano le frecce: la freccia del principe più giovane è presa da Vasilisa (nella sua forma di rana)...
