Una scommessa di troppo (1998)
Vinnie reduce dalla guerra di Corea gestisce un pub dove sono soliti incontrarsi gli immigrati irlandesi. La sua attività principale è quella dell'allibratore. L'organizzazione che gestisce le scommesse clandestine decide di affiancargli Tony, un ragazzo particolarmente sveglio e che nelle intenzioni dei boss dovrebbe sostituirlo. Il ragazzo è prepotente e assolutamente privo di scrupoli. Così quando nel suo "ufficio" si presenta Frankie, disoccupato e alcolizzato, il nuovo allibratore gli tende una trappola. Ma queste cose a Vinnie, delinquente di vecchio stampo, non vanno e quindi decide di dare una lezione a Tony.
