Che pasticcio, Bridget Jones! (2004)
Essere innamorate e fidanzate con un avvocato di successo, ed essere bruttine e impacciate, può essere una di quelle fortune che capitano a pochi, ma essere corteggiati da uno come Hugh Grant, sempre molto dandy, ha dell'incredibile. La vita di Bridget Jones, giornalista televisiva da sbarco, che riesce a rendere ridicolo il più semplice dei servizi, sembra avere raggiunto l'equilibrio. Ha un uomo affascinante con una pazienza zen, da chiamare in ogni momento della giornata (anche durante le riunioni più importanti); ha un lavoro che l'appaga; ha diverse amiche confidenti. Bridget non ha però fatto i conti con la gelosia. L'assistente del fidanzato, è infatti una bella, brillante, gentile ragazza, dalle gambe lunghissime (con le gambe fin qui, dirà Bridget, indicando il proprio seno). Le giornate della protagonista si riempiono, così, di dubbi, pensieri che la riconduranno al pensiero dell'originaria e impenitente vita da single.
