L'uomo che cadde sulla Terra (1976)
Da un pianeta sconosciuto, sul quale una spaventosa siccità ha quasi cancellato la vita, giunge sulla Terra in cerca di salvezza per il proprio popolo, uno dei pochi superstiti. Adottate sembianze umane, assunto il nome di Thomas Jerome Newton, questi riesce in breve tempo, sfruttando nove brevetti che ha con sé, a impiantare una potentissima multinazionale elettronica: la World Enterprise. Accumulata un'immensa fortuna, assolda uno scienziato, Nathan Bryce, cui affida il compito di costruire un'astronave capace non solo di ricondurre Newton al pianeta d'origine, ma anche di trasferirvi l'energia necessaria a farlo rivivere. Benchè soltanto tre persone conoscano piu’ o meno il suo segreto, questo trapela, per cui gli interessi minacciati dalla strapotenza della World Enterprise provocano l’intervento della CIA.
