Jennifer Jason Leigh (nata Jennifer Leigh Morrow il 5 febbraio 1962 a Los Angeles, in California) è un'attrice, produttrice e sceneggiatrice statunitense, nota per la sua versatilità e per le interpretazioni di personaggi complessi e anticonvenzionali. Figlia dell'attore Vic Morrow e della sceneggiatrice Barbara Turner, è cresciuta in un ambiente legato al mondo dello spettacolo e ha iniziato la sua carriera da giovanissima. Dopo alcune apparizioni televisive, ha ottenuto una maggiore notorietà negli anni Ottanta grazie a film come Fuori di testa (1982) e Ultima fermata Brooklyn (1989), affermandosi progressivamente come una delle interpreti più interessanti della sua generazione. Nel corso degli anni Novanta ha consolidato la propria carriera partecipando a numerose produzioni di successo e ricevendo apprezzamenti per interpretazioni particolarmente intense. Tra i suoi ruoli più noti di questo periodo figurano quelli in America oggi (1993), Mrs. Parker e il circolo vizioso (1994), Dolores Claiborne (1995) e eXistenZ (1999). Ha continuato a lavorare in film di generi molto diversi, tra cui The Machinist (2004), Revolutionary Road (2008) e Anomalisa (2015). Nello stesso anno ha raggiunto una nuova grande popolarità grazie al ruolo di Daisy Domergue nel western di Quentin Tarantino The Hateful Eight, interpretazione che le è valsa una candidatura all'Oscar come migliore attrice non protagonista. Nel corso della sua carriera Jennifer Jason Leigh ha lavorato anche in televisione e in teatro, dimostrando una notevole capacità di adattarsi a generi e personaggi differenti.
