George Peppard (1 ottobre 1928 – 8 maggio 1994) è stato un attore americano. È ricordato soprattutto per il ruolo dello scrittore in difficoltà Paul Varjak nel film del 1961 Colazione da Tiffany, e per aver interpretato il comandante commando Col. John "Hannibal" Smith nella serie televisiva degli anni '80 The A-Team. Peppard ottenne un ruolo importante quando recitò accanto ad Audrey Hepburn in Colazione da Tiffany (1961), e in seguito interpretò un personaggio ispirato a Howard Hughes in The Carpetbaggers (1964). In televisione, interpretò il ruolo principale del milionario investigatore assicurativo e investigatore Thomas Banacek nella serie gialla dei primi anni '70 Banacek. Interpretò il colonnello John "Hannibal" Smith, il capo fumatore di sigari di una squadra di commando rinnegata nella popolare serie d'azione degli anni '80 The A-Team.
